Billing
Growing a paid event
Adding capacity or hours after paying: what the difference costs and when it takes effect.
Once an event is paid, any change that raises its price is paid for before it takes effect. Whether the event is still a draft or already published makes no difference.
What you bought is a high-water mark and it never falls. Shrinking is free and immediate with no refund, and growing back into space you already paid for costs nothing, because the price is always computed against what you bought.

The capacity stepper with a difference to pay shown below it.
•
Capacity is added in blocks of ten. That is a payment rule rather than a pricing one: a single seat costs forty cents.
•
Duration is changed on the edit screen, where the save button becomes a pay button.
•
Each line is clamped separately, so dropping five hundred seats does not pay for two added hours.
•
Bonus seats apply to the seats you are adding, not to a fresh calculation of the whole event.
If your credit covers the difference completely, no checkout opens at all and the change is applied in one step.
